President's Report - The Legion Moves Forward
Branch 21 broke
ground in 1947 to start its legacy that brought us to 2009. Due to escalating operating
costs that are associated with an old building and running a business, the Executive and
I along with our membership are informing our surrounding community of our decision to
sell and relocate to a newer and smaller building. After two years of exhaustive
searching I am pleased to announce our new location will be at 20570 - 56 Ave, just two
blocks up from our present location. While the details are still being worked on, the
hall will be located on the first floor and the lounge will be on the second floor,
surrounded by windows so our members can enjoy the view of our fair city.
Entertainment
Tuesdays
- Euchre - open to everyone starting at 7:30 pm.
Wednesdays
- Bingo starting at 6:30 pm
Thursdays
- Crib
Fridays
- Meat Draws
- Our House Band from 5:30 to 9:30 pm
Saturdays
- Home Grown from 6pm to 9:00 pm
Sundays
- Legion's House Band, every afternoon
It was not easy coming to this conclusion, but it came time for the branch to move forward and while respecting the past to embrace all that is new so our branch will continue to serve our veterans and our community far into the future.
The executive and I look forward to seeing all of you at our new location in the early spring. The branch will remain open for business until this time and your support is vital so we can move forward. I would like to take this time to extend a heartfelt Thank You to my Executive, our members, and all those in our community for all their support and hard work that has brought our branch to this point.

Branch Meetings
- Next Branch meeting will be Monday September 27 at 7:30 p.m.
- Next Ladies Auxiliary meeting will be Monday September 13 at 1 p.m.
- Senior Vets meeting is the last thursday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Legion Hall
